This privacy policy describes how Nanyda, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects and uses personal information through our website, www.nanyda.com, and our mobile application, nTRUit.

We keep this simple because our data practices are simple: we collect the minimum needed to operate the website and the app. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not share your information with data brokers.

1. Information we collect on the website

Email signup. If you sign up to receive communications from us, we collect your email address (and your name, if you provide it). We use an email service provider to store this list and send emails on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and we will remove you from the list.

Communications. If you contact us by email or through a form on the site, we keep the communication so we can respond and maintain a record of the exchange.

Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider maintains standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) as part of operating and securing the site. We do not run our own analytics or advertising trackers.

Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies needed for basic operation — for example, to remember your cookie consent choice. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not function properly if you do. If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy first.

2. Information we collect in the nTRUit app

nTRUit is designed to work with as little of your personal information as possible.

Account information. To use the app you create an account. This is the only personal information required, and we use it solely to operate your account — not for marketing, profiling, or advertising.

Assessment results (your choice). Your assessment scores — along with the dates you take each assessment, which the app uses to remind you when it’s time to retake one and to prevent retaking one too soon — stay on your device by default and are not sent to us; if you do not back them up, they are gone when you log out, retained neither on our servers nor on your device. If you choose to back up your scores, they and their dates are stored on our secure cloud infrastructure and associated with your account so you can restore them, and they are deleted if you delete your account. Because assessment results reflect implicit associations on topics such as age, race, and gender, we treat them accordingly: they are collected only if you opt in to backup, used only to provide the backup/restore feature, and never sold, shared for marketing, or used for any other purpose.

Subscriptions. In-app subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment card details. We use a subscription management service to keep track of what you’ve purchased. It receives an app-specific user identifier and purchase information (such as which subscription you bought and when) so the app knows what content you have access to — nothing more.

Podcast playback. The podcasts in your playlists are hosted by their publishers, not by us. When you play an episode, the app’s audio player connects directly from your device to the publisher’s servers to stream the audio — just as it would in any podcast player. The publisher receives standard technical information from that connection, such as your IP address and device type, which the podcast industry uses to count listens. We do not send publishers your account information, and they have no way to learn who you are from us.

What we don’t collect in the app: no advertising identifiers, no location data, no contacts, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no third-party analytics.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above only to: operate your account and the app; provide the optional score backup/restore feature; manage your subscription entitlements; send you emails you signed up for; respond when you contact us; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run the website and app. These fall into a few categories: website and email hosting; email list management and delivery; sign-in (Google or Apple, whichever you choose); payment processing (Apple); subscription management; and cloud infrastructure that stores backed-up assessment results. Each provider processes data on our behalf, only for the purposes described in this policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, in which case the recipient remains bound by this policy.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.

5. Data retention and deletion

Email list: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Account information: kept while your account is active. Backed-up assessment results: kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which deletes your account information and any backed-up scores. Communications: kept as long as needed for the purpose of the exchange and any legal requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we limit access to those who need it to provide the services described here. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

7. Your rights and choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, decline score backup (the default), use Sign in with Apple to withhold your email address, and delete your account (and backed-up scores) from within the app.

Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights regarding your personal information — including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of it, and to object to or restrict certain processing (under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act). To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@nanyda.com. We respond to legitimate requests within one month. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, though we’d appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.

8. International users

We are based in the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you use our website or app from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Children

Our website and app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. By using our services you confirm you are at least 13 years old.

10. Third-party links

Our website and app may link to third-party sites and services. Their privacy practices are their own; we encourage you to read their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle information you’ve already given us, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
